READ INGREDIENTS. DON’T EVEN LOOK WHAT THEY PUT ON THE PACKAGE, TURN IT AROUND AND READ THE LABEL
So last night my husband pulls out of refrigerator a box with “juice” and drinks it… I had never seen it before, my understanding is, he bought it all by himself, probably in the Russian store, it has Russian label. On the package it says, 100% natural, no preservatives..
Right… so ingredient label says 10 servings. Each serving has 11 grams of sugar. 1 litre of juice has 110 grams of sugar, which is 22 spoons of sugar in one package! My naive husband keeps telling me that he would taste a lot of sugar if that would be true…. Not if it is together with sour juice concentrate… So it is a shot of sugar in your stomach, ok? but is it even juice?
Contents: cranberry juice – 15%, water, sugar, natural flavoring ( which could be anything , like extracts of plants, or bugs!) So really it is natural, there are no chemicals…. But is it juice? being only 15% of juice?
But he got lucky. Most of the time contents of simple things are much much longer than this list, some of it is unpronounceable…. Like cereal… Read a label on you cereal! Some of cereals even have Partially Hydrogenated Oil … do not give it to your kids, it leads to cancer….
