1. What is HCG Diet?<br />
HCG diet is diet created by European endocrinologist Dr Simeons in 1950.<br />
Dr Simeons noticed effect of HCG hormon on weight while working in India for over 10 years.<br />
Book &#8220;Pounds and Inches&#8221; is widely available now with a spike of HCG Diet craze supported by Kevin Trudeau, Dr. OZ and many doctors. Dr OZ tried the diet and supported modified 800 calorie regiment in his program. Other doctors like plastic surgeons created weight loss clinics where they injected their patients with HCG hormon to help them to lose weight.<br />
2. What type of HCG is best to administer?<br />
HCG injections are as good as HCG drops. Injections cost more and need needles and need to be refrigirated. HCG drops could be carried with patient and administer several times a day.<br />
3. Do I need to follow 500 calorie diet?<br />
500 calorie diet is original diet prescribed by DrSimeons and had been succesfully used for several decades.<br />
Many experiments since had been done with HCG Diet and lots of modification. It had been determined that for physically active people 500 calorie diet could be easily switched to 800 calorie or even 900 calorie diet with the same weight loss as 500 calorie diet.<br />

<p>So, how does Cyclical Ketogenic Diet (CKD) works?<br />
For most of the time you will be consuming a high fat, high protein, low carb diet. This is interspersed with smaller periods of high carb, high protein, low fat nutrition. There are variations on the CKD but the standard (and my favorite) way is to implement it in the following way:</p>

<p>How LOW carbs is LOW CARBS? In general, in order to get to low carb mode all you need is to consume 60 or less grams or carbohydrates a day. It takes 3 days to get into fat burning mode. Start with 30 grams of carbohydrates and see how it is going.</p>

<blockquote><p>Rule #1: Avoid “white” starchy carbohydrates (or those that can be white). This means all bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, and grains. If you have to ask, don’t eat it.<br />
 Rule #2: Eat the same few meals over and over again, especially for breakfast and lunch. You already do this; you’re just picking new default meals.<br />
 Rule #3: Don’t drink calories. Exception: 1-2 glasses of dry red wine per night is allowed.<br />
 Rule #4: Don’t eat fruit. (Fructose –> glycerol phosphate –> more bodyfat, more or less.) Avocado and tomatoes are excepted.<br />
 Rule #5: Take one day off per week and go nuts. I choose and recommend Saturday.</p></blockquote>

<p><strong>1. Start with lean protein.</strong><br />
Try to consume at least 16 oz of lean protein daily. Break it down to 3 main meals ( 4oz per serving) and 2 snacks ( about 2 oz per serving). As lean protein you may eat eggs, ish, chicken and lean beef. Go low on saturated fat. Beans, fish and poultry provide plenty of protein, without much saturated fat. Steer clear of fatty meats and use whole-milk dairy products sparingly. Limit red meat—and avoid processed meat. Research suggests that people who eat even modest amounts of red meat have a higher risk of developing colon cancer, heart disease, and diabetes, and a higher risk of dying from heart disease, cancer, or any cause. There&#8217;s also substantial evidence that replacing red meat with fish, poultry, beans, or nuts, could help prevent heart disease and diabetes—and could lower the risk of early death. So make red meat (beef, pork, lamb) only an occasional part of your diet—no more than two 3-ounce servings a week—if you eat it at all. And skip the processed stuff—bacon, hot dogs, and deli meats—since that&#8217;s linked even more strongly to cancer, heart disease, and diabetes risk. Try these healthy protein recipes for nuts and tofu, fish and chicken.<br />
Balance carbs and protein. Cutting back on highly processed carbohydrates and increasing protein improves levels of blood triglycerides and HDL, and so may reduce your chances of having a heart attack, stroke, or other form of cardiovascular disease. It may also make you feel full longer, and stave off hunger pangs.</p>

3 Days before EVENT<br />
Food:<br />
If you normally eat food containing carbs throughout the day (things like anything made with wheat, fruit, starchy veggies like potatoes, etc.)Here’s the basic way this works: carbohydrates that you eat, but don’t burn off right away, are stored in your muscles as glycogen. Each gram of carbohydrates holds three grams of water (carbo*hydrates*). Glycogen is a great source of fuel and energy for your body, so you burn a lot of it each day. If you stop taking in a lot of carbs, you will deplete–without replacing–glycogen and, in turn, the water that it holds. Feel free to eat lots of veggies to keep you full today, this will be your last day to eat a lot of vegetables before your big night; this will give your body plenty of time to digest them so you don’t look bloated.</p>
<p>Drink a lot of water today, at least a gallon. Unsweetened tea counts, too. Your body gets used to processing water, so if you drink a lot, your body will process (that is, convert to urine) the water very quickly. I aim to drink about a gallon of water each day. If you have more than three days to prepare (if you’re starting earlier than Thursday for a Saturday-night event), increase your water intake for a few days.  Avoid diet soda and sugar-free products that cause bloating from here on out (sugar-free gum is a common culprit). If alcohol causes bloating, avoid it until your big night as well.</p>
<p>Workout:</p>
<p>If you like to do hard cardio workouts like running, intense sessions on the elliptical, or the stepmill, go ahead and do it today.</p>
<p>Appearance:</p>
<p>It’s never too early to start prepping to look your best. But if you’re on a short time frame, here are a few things that will really make a difference.</p>
<p>Exfoliate your skin using natural ingredients. My favorite exfoliant right now is the super easy, super beneficial honey-and-coffee mixture. Honey has antibacterial properties, so it can improve acne-prone skin, and coffee contains caffeine, which can tighten the look of the skin. My trick is to use instant coffee grounds on my face because they’re ground more finely than coffee-maker grounds. But you can use coarser grounds on the rest of your body to get a better exfoliating effect.</p>
<p>Get lots of sleep, if you can! Getting rest helps with just about everything, it makes you feel better (which makes you look better!), helps avoid dark under-eye circles, helps your digestion and metabolism, speeds healing, and lots of other good stuff. Make sure you get plenty of shut-eye and avoid stress if possible.</p>
<p>2 Days before EVENT</p>
<p>Food: </p>
<p>Keep carbs low again today. If you’re feeling hungry, increase the amount of healthy fat in your diet. Add avocado to your food, eat fattier sources of protein (pork shoulder, for example, instead of chicken breast), eat nuts, and cook with coconut oil, for example. You’ll want to decrease salt–which causes the body to hold water–and increase potassium (spinach is a great source!), which causes the body to release water. Cut your water intake to half a gallon (eight 8-oz glasses) today and you’ll be able to watch yourself start to shrink!</p>
<p>IMPORTANT: If you have kidney or other medical issues, don’t water deplete!</p>
<p>Workout:</p>
<p>Don’t do any heavy cardio workouts today; hard cardio can cause your body to retain water, which can give you a bloated appearance. Feel free to lift weights, but avoid any body parts that you are self-conscious about, because you’ll see muscle “pump” for up to a few days after a hard lifting session.</p>
<p>Appearance: </p>
<p>Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Use the coffee-and-honey mixture as many times as you wash your face and shower today. After you’ve exfoliated your body for the last time today, remove body hair. Most people use a razor and shaving cream, but Nair is another option. Nair for Men is one of the best secrets of the female-fitness-model community; it’s stronger than the for-women stuff, so it works more quickly and gives a more thorough result.</p>
<p>If you want to have a little glow on your big night, there are a few extra steps to take. If you are getting a pedicure to prepare for your big night out, do that before you apply your tan.  My two favorite choices for a natural-looking faux tan are VersaSpa and St. Tropez. VersaSpa is a stand-up spray tan that looks much more natural than spray tans did in the past; no orangey glow! Find a location near you here (http://locations.versaspa.com/). I go to Palm Beach Tan (http://www.palmbeachtan.com/Salon-Locator/Show-all-Salons.aspx) when I need a Versa tan. If there are no VersaSpas in your area, the best at-home option is St. Tropez (http://www.sttropeztan.com/). It’s expensive, but worth it to get a smooth, natural-looking even tan. Get your tan tonight!</p>
<p>1 day before EVENT</p>
<p>Food:</p>
<p>Keep the carbs and veggies away to avoid bloating. Continue to avoid soda (even diet), alcohol and sugar-free gum. Eat more fat to keep you fuller longer (it’s digested more slowly than either carbs or protein are). Avoid salt today, and sip on water if you’re thirsty, but don’t drink a ton. You should be able to see a tighter appearance by now.</p>
<p>Workout: yoga &#8211; 30 min, strength training &#8211; 30 min</p>
<p>Day of event:</p>
<p>At the event, if you plan to drink, take it easy by alternating water with alcoholic beverages, and choose non-caloric drinks like liquor mixed with Diet Coke, soda water, or plain on the rocks. Red wine is another great choice, with white slightly behind. Avoid beer if you don’t want to bloat up.</p>
<p>Workout:</p>
<p>Get your workout on the dance floor tonight!</p>
<p>Appearance:</p>
<p>If you have any body parts you wish were tighter, you can rub Preparation H on them. It sounds crazy, but it reduces swelling, which makes any body part (legs, for example) look leaner and tighter. Many fitness models rub Preparation H on the backs of their legs to temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite. It may sound crazy, but it works! Beware, though, because it stinks, so you can’t use it after your last shower, which you should take this morning. If your tan fades or gets blotchy, touch it up. Many tanning salons sell touch-up products, or you can apply another layer of at-home self tanner to get a deeper glow.</p>
<p>If your legs are exposed, spray a little bit of Pam into the palm of your hand and mix it with body lotion; this will make your legs shine.</p>
<p>Throw on some Crest White Strips to give your teeth an extra white sparkle.</p>
<p>As you head out the door, make sure you have the essentials: whatever make-up products you may need throughout the night, gum and mints, house keys, identification, etc. — but also pick up a pair of Fast Flats (http://www.drscholls.com/drscholls/forher.jsp) at a pharmacy. They’re tiny, so they fit in your purse, and they’re priceless if you have to walk after wearing high heels all night!</p>

The main thing in getting ready for an event is diet.<br />
If you want to look good and have energy for exercise, the diet needs to be cleaned up.<br />
Success of getting ready for the big event consists of diet, exercise and beauty &#8211; so eat clean (60% of your success), train (30 % of your success) and exfoliate, tan, moisturize, hair removal (10% of your success).<br />
Thus, diet is more important in this proccess than anything!<br />
1. Forget about sugar, starches ( pasta, potatoes, white flour), processed food and fast food.<br />
2. Welcome lean protein ( chicken, fish) &#8211; 60% of your diet, complex carbs ( quinoa, brown rice, buckwheat, oatmeal) &#8211; 15% and healthy fats ( olive oil, avocado) &#8211; 25% of your diet.<br />
3. Calculate your daily calories. If you need to lose weight- try to consume no more than 10 calories per each pound of your body weight. If you are in decent shape &#8211; consume about 15 calories per pound of your body weight. Eating enough calories in the proper macronutrient proportion will help you build muscle, increase your metabolic rate, and ultimately lose more fat. It will also set a solid foundation for your body and help it adapt properly to each new phase of contest dieting. Here’s an effective nutrition plan to get started.</p>
<p>Breakfast &#8211; 5 egg whites with spinach, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, or whatever vegetables you like. Or oatmeal, just make sure it is not premixed or instant oatmeal, but real oatmeal. One of the fastest ways to get breakfast is to mix four or five egg whites in a blender with half a cup of oatmeal, a couple of packets of Splenda and some cinnamon, then pour the mix into a skillet and cook them like pancakes.</p>
<p>Most athletes know that eating the same food everyday will help to lose weight. Cooking ahead and having plan for each time you eat will help to stay on program.</p>
<p>Midmorning: No fat, no sugar protein shake. Add strawberries or blueberries for taste. Or coffee instead of water to make mocha shake.</p>
<p>Lunch: tuna, shrimp, fish, chicken, turkey with vegetables and one scoop of brown rice. </p>
<p>Midafternoon: protein shake or piece of chicken or tuna.</p>
<p>Dinner: stir fry with chicken or lean strips of beef and a bunch of peppers, onions, broccoli, zucchini, cauliflower, green beans, cabbage and mushrooms. A leafy green salad with tomatoes, asparagus, spinach, bell peppers, cucumbers, green onions, and chicken or shrimp on the top would be great as well. </p>
<p>If you are hungry before to go to bed, all you are allowed to eat os protein shake or egg whites. Protein only. </p>
<p>Water: one gallon a day of water. Two glasses between meals. No soda, soft drinks, no artificial sweeteners, no juices. If you are craving sugar, use splenda. </p>
<p>Seasonings: vinegar, mustard, relish, salsa, hot sauce, and just about any dry seasoning. Sugar-free gum is allowed.<br />

If you have dry skin, try to eat more food with avocado and olive oil. In general, oif diet is rich in leafy vegetables and healthy fats, less sugar and carbs &#8211; great skin is on the way.<br />
